Amanda MartinAmanda Martin

Lipscomb University Nashville
Class of 2011 | Political Science

Appointed to the Court 2009

Amanda is a Presidential Scholar at Lipscomb. She has been a member of the Provost List since 2007. 

She is vice president of Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity and vice president of Delta Omega social club at Lipscomb. Amanda has also been invited to join the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

In the fall of 2008, Amanda participated in a Study Abroad Program in Vienna, Austria, where she had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe. She also traveled to South Africa for mission work.

In high school, Amanda was valedictorian as well as being named a National Merit Finalist.  She was also President of the National Honor Society and participated in a short-term exchange program in Berlin.

After graduation, she plans to attend law school and then serve as a child advocate.

Matthew BrockMatthew Brock

Lincoln Memorial University Harrogate
Class of 2011 | History & Pre-Law

Appointed to the Court 2008

Matthew is the second-term Student Senate President and Executive Vice President for the Student Government Association, Chairperson of the Student Affairs Appeals Committee, Campus Republican President and a Lincoln Ambassador.

During the previous two summers, he served as an Appalachian College Association Colonel B. Ledford Scholar, researching the previous presidential elections and presidential and diplomatic history throughout the 19th and 20th century. This fall, in addition to TISL, he will be attending several national leadership conferences and Student Government Association conferences.

Daniel JohnsonDaniel Johnson

King College Bristol
Class of 2011 | English, French & History

Appointed to the Court 2009

Dan is founder and co-president of the Cardinal Newman Society at King College as well as being the president of the King College Republicans. Dan serves on the Student Advisory Board of the Buechner Institute at King College and is a part of King’s Snider Honors Program.

He was a part of Launch, the new student orientation at King, and is a member of the King College Swim Team.

Andrew IngallsAndrew Ingalls

Carson-Newman College Jefferson City
Class of 2010 | Political Science

Appointed to the Court 2009

Andrew is the Student Government President at Carson-Newman College. He is the current President and founder of the Chess Club and a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honors Society receiving the "Outstanding Pre-Law Student Award" in April, 2009.

In summer 2009, he interned with the County Clerk at the Jefferson County Circuit/General Sessions Court.

Justin TateJustin Tate

University of Memphis
Class of 2012 | Chemistry

Appointed to the Court 2009

Justin plans to go to pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

He is also involved in the Student Government Association, serving as Senator at Large for the University of Memphis.

Justin attends Service on Saturdays, where he participates in community service every other weekend.

Lipscomb University Nashville
Class of 2011 | History

Rebecca is a Provost scholar at Lipscomb University and is a member of the Provost List.

She is a member of the Epsilon-Chi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society and will be inducted in the Kappa Chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honors Society. She received a Tennessee Scholarship for the National Historic Preservation Conference sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation for the fall of 2009.

She currently gives tours at Historic Carnton Plantation and is in the process of publishing a book regarding the transcription of two 19th-Century family Bibles.
